The
apartment has 2 twin bedrooms
and a double sofa bed in the lounge
area. It is fully equipped with a
washing machine, cooker, microwave
etc. and is comfortably furnished
with every convenience you will need
for an enjoyable holiday including
Satellite TV, a DVD player and
Air Conditioning.
The apartment is second floor (with
lifts) and overlooks the pool area
which is open from the middle of
June until the end of September. The
balcony is south facing and attracts
the sun all day.
An additional apartment is available
for rent if required. This is
a one bed apartment (sleeps 4) and
is just a few doors away.

The apartment is
ideally situated for the beach and
there is a selection of bars,
supermarkets, gift shops and
restaurants within a 5 minute
radius.
A fifteen minute walk left along the
beach will bring you to the
traditional harbour which is soon to
be developed into a cosmopolitan
marina, where you will find a
promenade with restaurants serving a
variety of cuisine ranging from the
local catch of the day to
traditional English fayre.
A twenty minute stroll in the other
direction from the apartment will
bring you to the Avenida de
Meditraneo, where you will find an
area packed with gift shops, bars
and restaurants including
traditional tapas bars, Chinese,
Indian and Italian restaurants.
The children's play
park is also situated here. A
further 15 minute stroll along the
beach front will bring you to the
busiest part of the resort, where
you will find a wide selection of
shops, restaurants, bars and
Nightclubs. The variety of food on
offer varies from traditional
Spanish, Italian, Indian, Chinese
and English cuisine.
You will find bars to enjoy live
music, quizzes, karaoke or just
enjoy a quiet drink. This part of
the beach also offers windsurfing
lessons and Jet Ski’s for the more
adventurous.
The beach is a fine shingle and
stretches for miles. It is very wide
and shelves gently although care
should be taken with young children
as the waves can be quite strong in
this area.

Roquetas De Mar is generally a quiet family friendly resort
which still retains a traditional Spanish feel and
is ideal for those seeking a more relaxed holiday
than many of the other Costa’s along the Spanish
Coast, but is said to have the best year round
climate of any other part of Spain, with only on
average 30 days of rain a year.
We feel the apartment would be the perfect place for
either a beach holiday, golf break or even a long
term let.

The new Gran Plaza
shopping centre is a five minute
drive from the apartment and has an
array of shops and restaurants as
well as a ten pin bowling alley and
a cinema showing English speaking
films.
The water park is also a five minute
drive from the apartment and is open
between June and September 5th each
year. A brand new Aquarium next door
to the water park
where you can get close to a variety
of stingray.
Roquetas also has a market every
Thursday except the last Thursday of
the month and there is a Sunday
market in Vicar which is a short
drive from the apartment. The
markets sell an array of goods
including clothing, shoes, homewares,
bags etc.
Aguadulce is a ten minute drive or
bus journey and is another beach
resort with a pretty marina that
comes alive on a Friday and Saturday
evening. Almeria city which is the
capital of the region is a 25 minute
journey from the apartment and is a
lovely bustling city full of shops,
restaurants and historic places to
visit.
The town of Granada with it’s famous
Alhambra Palace is within a two hour
drive (excursions available within
the resort) as is the Ski resorts of
the Sierra Nevada.
A 50 minute drive (excursions
available within the resort) will
take you to ‘Mini Hollywood’ which
was an original film set for Western
movies and has shows and museums
relating to the western film making
theme. It also has a nice pool area
where you can take a dip and a zoo
with exotic animals.
Other excursions available include a
3 day trip by ferry from Almeria
port to Marrakech and trips to
Seville, Madrid and Gibraltar.
